Established in 1999, The Abu Haneefa Educational Trust as a registered charity (charity no. 1079416) was created to provide educational, Religious and cultural needs of the Muslims of Slough. Our Trust functions wholly on donations and receives no grants or funding from local or national governments.
What is Madni Alternative Education?
Madni Alternative Education is setup to provide a service of advanced authentic Islamic education for young, enthusiastic and dedicated students (boys aged 11 years) wishing to memorise the glorious Qur’ãn to a high standard and further their study of the Aalimiyyah course and graduate to guide and serve local communities and comprehensively fulfil and provide for their Islamic needs. Our aim is to ensure that alongside academic and spiritual excellence, students will excel in Research and Writing Skills in English to a high standard of academic, theological, literary and spiritual eminence. Our courses are structured according to proven traditional experiences with emphasis on Tajweed (correct pronunciation) and a high standard of memorisation in the Hifz-ulQur’ãn course along with a sound understanding of responsibilities, morals and integrity which a future Aalim must uphold.
Mission of Madni Alternative Education:
- The purpose of MAE is to provide Islamic and academic education to our children in a safe and peaceful Islamic environment.
- To gain the pleasure of Almighty, Our Creator, by serving Slough’s community through the provision of an educational institution based on Islamic values of tolerance, peace, morality and harmony.
- To present education as a lifelong process to lead a healthy lifestyle, how to keep safe, to be able to achieve economical well-being and improve their spiritual, moral, social and cultural aspects.
- To promote equal opportunities, racial and religious harmony and social justice.
- To set the foundation for the building of an Islamic personality; to provide students with the highest standards of education to enable them to develop their self-knowledge, self-esteem and self-confidence.
- To distinguish right from wrong and to respect the law, to encourage pupils to accept responsibility for their behaviour, show initiative and understanding how they can contribute to community life.
- To provide them with a broad general knowledge of public institutions and services and assist pupils to acquire and appreciation of and respect for their own and other cultures in a way that promotes tolerance and harmony between different cultural traditions which will
